My Service to You
Your Choice
You may choose to include religious elements, such as a prayer, hymn, or reading in the service, or to go with no religious content at all. Music, poetry, readings, images – together we will craft your selections into an appropriate and memorable ceremony that captures the unique essence of the departed, gives all who attend space to mark their loss, say farewell, and take the first step on their own path of healing.
Attention to Detail
To ensure complete accuracy and your approval of everything included in the service, I will send you a draft script before the ceremony and make any changes to it that you wish. I will also provide you with a presentation script after the ceremony as a keepsake.
My Training
I have been rigorously trained and assessed for my skill and suitability as a celebrant by Civil Ceremonies Ltd. and hold an NOCN Level Three Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy. This means you can be confident in my ability to create and deliver the funeral you are arranging.
My Memberships
I am a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals and have signed up to The Celebrant Accord, giving you assurance that:
• I follow strict guidelines to ensure I provide the best possible service for you
• My work is subject to ongoing assessment by the IoCF to ensure it meets the highest standards
• I am fully insured
Area covered
I operate within Dumfries and Galloway and South Ayrshire. Travel to all locations within a 20-mile radius of Stranraer is included in my standard fee. Outside of this area, mileage will be charged at 45p per mile.
